About DodoJob · Built in Mauritius

You have the experience. It deserves to be seen.

DodoJob was born in Mauritius from one conviction: too many capable people go unnoticed. Often not for lack of talent, but because their CV doesn’t show it where recruiters look.

So we built a tool that shows you, before you apply, what your CV proves for a specific job, what’s missing, and what still needs to be made clear.

No credit card. Your CV is never shared with recruiters.

01 · The silence

You apply. Then, nothing.

No reply, no explanation. Just one question that keeps coming back: what went wrong? The experience, the wording, the layout, or simply another candidate? Without feedback, every new application starts with the same doubts.

The real requirements are buried

A job ad mixes must-haves, nice-to-haves and daily tasks. Telling them apart takes time.

Your experience speaks another language

You did the work, but your CV describes it in different words than the ad. The reader doesn’t always make the link.

The same CV goes out again

Tailoring a CV for every role is exhausting. So the generic version gets sent, again and again.

The hardest part isn’t rejection. It’s never knowing why.

02 · The numbers

Behind every number, someone waiting for an answer.

We went through the latest official figures from Statistics Mauritius. They don’t explain every rejection. They do show how long the wait can be, and who it hits hardest.

Job seekers in Mauritius, 2025

33,500

people without a job, actively looking and available to work. That’s 5.7% of the labour force.

Aged 16 to 24: 11,700 people, more than 1 in 31 dot = 100 people

Average time without a job

11 months

Men8 months

Women13 months

1 square = 1 month

Out of work for more than 2 years

5%of unemployed men

10%of unemployed women

Women wait 5 months longer on average, even though unemployed women are more often qualified than unemployed men.

Unemployment rate by age, 2025

The younger you are, the heavier the door.

  • 16–2418.4%
  • 25–299.4%
  • 30–395.3%
  • 40–493.2%
  • 50+1.5%

How job seekers look for work, 2025

Applying directly is still the main way in.

  • Applied directly to employers56%
  • Went to factories or worksites45%
  • Registered with the Employment Service42%
  • Sought help or advice37%
  • Placed or answered job ads36%

Several answers possible.

More than half of job seekers apply directly to employers. Their CV has to make the case on the first read.

Qualified, but under-employed

45,500

people with a tertiary qualification work in jobs below their level of education. That’s more than 1 in 4.

45,500 of the 160,900 tertiary-qualified people in work

7,100

tertiary-qualified people are unemployed: more than 1 job seeker in 5.

A diploma alone doesn’t guarantee the right job. The right profile and the right role still have to find each other.

03 · The insight

It’s not always about talent. It’s about translation.

The experience is there. But a recruiter, or their screening software, can only credit what is written clearly, in the words they are looking for. What your CV doesn’t say, the reader can’t guess.

Already experienced

72%

of unemployed people in Mauritius have worked before.

Out of 100 unemployed people, 72 have already worked.

The job ad asks for

“Handling customer complaints”

Your CV says

“Welcomed guests at the hotel front desk”

What DodoJob tells you

Not demonstrated in the CV

Your CV doesn’t explicitly show complaint handling. If you did it, add the evidence. If not, don’t claim it.

Same job, different words? The reader can’t be sure.

A skill that isn’t written isn’t a skill you lack.It’s a skill to clarify.

04 · What we built

One simple tool for one precise question.

“Does my CV prove that I fit this job?”

  1. Upload your CV

DodoJob turns your PDF into a profile you can edit. Nothing is compared until you’ve confirmed it.

  2. Paste the job ad

DodoJob extracts what the role really requires: essential and preferred skills, experience, education and keywords, in the ad’s own words.

  3. Understand your match

Every requirement gets a clear status. A second, independent analysis then checks the result.

  4. Apply with a focused CV

Get a one-page CV in English or French, built only from the information you confirmed.

Three statuses. No false certainty.

  • What matches

    Your CV contains the evidence.

  • Not demonstrated in the CV

Nothing proves it yet. Add evidence if it applies to you.

  • Requirement not met

Your CV shows a different level. Don’t claim it unless it’s true.

05 · Our commitments

Trust isn’t claimed. It’s earned, one rule at a time.

These are the rules we hold ourselves to, for every single analysis.

Nothing invented

DodoJob reorganizes and rewords the information you confirmed. It never adds experience, degrees or skills you don’t have, and you review everything before sending.

Your data stays yours

Your CV is never sold or shared with recruiters. Delete your account whenever you want. After 12 months without logging in, it is deleted, always with advance notice.

A score, not a promise

Your percentage measures what your CV proves for one job ad. It isn’t a probability of being hired, and we’ll never pretend it is.

AI that’s checked, not guessed

Every piece of evidence must be quoted from your own CV, and a second analysis audits the first. When they disagree, we say “not demonstrated” rather than fake certainty.

Made for Mauritius

Designed here, for candidates here, in English and in French.

06 · Why a dodo?

Because what goes unseen can disappear.

The dodo is Mauritius: our symbol and our pride. It’s also a reminder that we didn’t protect it in time. So our dodo has a mission: making sure local talent no longer goes unnoticed.
